Penetration Testing

Blackbox, or penetration testing, is a simulated attack auditing method. Using this method, MIS staff assume no special knowledge of or access to the target network or resource. The target is subjected to a variety of stringent, real world attack scenarios. Penetration testing provides a real time snapshot of current system security and can be performed externally or internally to test the effectiveness of compartmentalization boundaries or test systems for vulnerabilities.
